If you haven’t gotten your Christmas tree yet, check out the Christmas Tree Carnival at First and Nees. They are also Planet Pumpkin at Halloween. It’s a great way to support a local business. Owner Russ Nakata and his staff are incredibly courteous and helpful. You just pick your tree, pull your car up and they will tie it down. They also deliver.
Prices for trees range from $19.95 and up. They also include tree stand and waterbowl. Most places charge extra for that. Trees range from 2 feet to 16 feet. They offer fresh grown trees from Oregon and Washington, including Noble, Frazier and Nordman firs which are known for their longevity. We like to get our tree before Thanksgiving and their trees last longer than any others in town that we found. Check water daily. They drink lots of water.
Visiting with their families has become an annual tradition in many Fresno households. Kids who came for years are now bringing their own kids back.
They also offer snow flocking, wreaths, fresh garland and retail items. They have carnival rides for the whole family, plus a giant slide for $1 each. They are open 7 days week from 9am - 10pm
